Welcome to our website.

The Barming Active Retirement Association (BarmARA) was formed in 2003 for people over the age of 50 who are either retired or semi-retired living in the Barming and ME16 post code areas.

The club has regular monthly meetings where a speaker or entertainer enlivens the afternoon.

In addition the club organises Coffee mornings, Art groups, Coach outings and Theatre trips, Holidays, Quizzes, Rambles (with pub lunches), Petanque and New Age Kurling. The club is affiliated to the Kent Active Retirement Association (KentARA) and therefore our members can take part in the many additional activities that KentARA organise.

The club and KentARA are non-profit making organisations whose Objectives are to arrange and promote regular monthly meetings and other activities which will contribute to the mental and physical well being of the members with the aim to ensure a full and active retirement. Our present annual full membership fee is £18.00 per person, which includes tea/coffee and biscuits. As well as a Full membership we also have a list of Associate members who are welcome to join in any or all of our activities, other than our monthly meetings. The Associate Members annual membership fee is £6.00p. per person.
